DR CAITLIN GONCZ NAFZIGER

Dr. Caitlin Goncz

Dr. Caitlin Goncz-Nafziger is a Cranberry Township native who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Grove City College, where she met her husband, Chris, through mutual friends.

Dr. Goncz-Nafziger’s passion for veterinary medicine began in childhood when her father brought home a tiny kitten in need of extensive care. Nurturing that kitten sparked a lifelong dedication to animal health—one she has never looked back from.

Today, Dr. Goncz-Nafziger welcomes a wide variety of patients, treating exotic pets and small mammals in addition to cats and dogs. It’s not unusual to find her caring for large tortoises, monitor lizards, guinea pigs, or rabbits on any given day. She has a special interest in advanced imaging and has completed numerous lectures and seminars in ultrasonography, developing strong proficiency in interpreting high-resolution images of internal organ structure and architecture.

At home, Dr. Goncz-Nafziger and her husband enjoy farm life with their two horses, forty chickens, five cats, and two dogs. They love spending time outdoors—especially horseback riding, gardening, and land management. An avid baker, she is known for her ever-popular sourdough starter, as well as her creative pickle recipes. Her list of favorites also includes mashed potatoes, chocolate, and watching lighthearted comedies. A talented guitarist, she shares her musical gifts with her church congregation.

Always welcoming, gentle, and kind, Dr. Goncz-Nafziger cares for every patient with exceptional dedication. We are grateful to have her as a valued member of our healthcare team!
